Brief Bio: Prof. Dr. Valliappan Raju (Vally) is an internationally recognized academic specializing in Financial Technology (FinTech), and Research Methodology. He is associated with GISMA University of Applied Sciences, Germany. His Postdoctoral Fellowship in FinTech was from IIUM, a leading public University in Malaysia. In 2025, he was listed in Top 2% Scientist by Sandford University and Elsevier database. With over 22 years of academic and industry experience, he has served universities across Germany, Malaysia, and Botswana in research leadership roles. Prof. Vally has authored 343+ scholarly publications, five books, and holds three patents. He has successfully supervised 65 doctoral candidates as of 2026 and secured more than US$250,000 in research grants. His research interests span FinTech, blockchain, digital banking, artificial intelligence in higher education, entrepreneurship, and research excellence. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of few Scopus-indexed journals and has established 12 international conference series with IEEE approvals. An active member of The World Bank’s Civil Society (CSO) Policy Forum and engaged in Adjunct roles with Hengxing University (China), GNSU (India), Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic), MAHSA University, Jesselton University College, Spectrum International University College (Malaysia), etcetera. Prof Vally is also the founder of VallyLab.com & Myfintechs.com, an AI-driven FinTech simulation platforms. He recently launched VELS coin, a cryptocoin reflecting his commitment to advancing innovation in FinTech research. Presently, he is thriving to setup an e-Bank (NeoBank) in Austria and executing his FinTech research into practice. Remains with the ideology that research works must be implemented and commercialized for betterment of humanity.
